ARTA DOBROSHI, Actress, Kosovo*
Arta Dobroshi was born in Kosovo and grew up between Prishtina, Tirana and North Carolina. Whilst at the Acting Academy in Prishtina, she played in numerous theater plays, short films and feature films.

Dobroshi shot to international renown for her depiction of Lorna in LE SILENCE DE LORNA directed by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. Dobroshi was nominated in Cannes for her remarkable work on the role. Dobroshi was also nominated in the Best Actress category at the European Academy Awards and is widely regarded as one of the most talented new actors.

Dobroshi is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program and is currently starring in and producing the film ATIS, in collaboration with the director Daniel Mulloy, with whom she is also collaborating in A COLD DAY (for Focus Features). Dobroshi's new film TROIS MONDES premiered in Cannes Film Festival this year.

JAVIER MARTÍN-DOMÍNGUEZ, Screenwriter, director, Spain
Javier Martín-Domínguez has developed a career in journalism, television and film, as director, producer and screenwriter.  He was the artistic director of the Seville European Film Festival from 2008 till 2012. His last film is a biopic of the British artist  Leonora Carrington. He had directed and produced numerous documentaries. With his fiction film WITHIN THE SKIN, he won the first prize of the Pamplona Festival.

Martín-Domínguez worked for TVE – the main group of television in Spain. where he became director of development and thematic channels and then in 2005 secretary general of TVE.

He was a correspondent for Spanish public radio and television in New York for a decade, and Far East correspondent, based in Tokyo, for the Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia. He was also the editor-in-chief of the magazine Comunicacion XXI, and currently writes a weekly column about cinema and media for the Spanish press.

PETER VAN HOOF, Short Film Section Programmer of International Film Festival Rotterdam, Netherlands
Peter Van Hoof first worked at the Squat Cinema Filmhuis Cavia and after that as founder and programmer of Cinema De Balie, the independent cinema department of political cultural center De Balie in the heart of Amsterdam.

He is one of the founders of Stichting De Filmbank: a small organization for promoting and distribution of Dutch Experimental Cinema that recently merged into the Eye Film Institute Netherlands. As programmer for the IFFR he is responsible for programming the Short Film section and as such he heads the Short Film selection committee.
