Announcing The Winners
Inside Out has provided a world-class platform for filmmakers around the world to tell their stories for more than two decades. One of the largest LGBT festivals in the world, Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film and Video Festival wrapped Sunday night with more than 85 screenings and rang the meter “up” at the box office making 2011 a stand-out success.
Last night Inside Out handed out eight prestigious awards to some of the queer filmmaking community’s brightest worldwide talents.
And the winners…
Canadian Jury Awards
This year our Canadian Jury included Denise Benson a Toronto-based DJ, event producer and freelance journalist; Renata Mohamed a Toronto-based filmmaker and a graduate of the Integrated Media program at OCAD; and Jamie Travis an indie film writer/director considered “one of the most original voices in Canadian cinema.

And on our international Jury this year Inside Out was proud to have Marco Berger from Buenos Aires who is a world-renowned award-winning filmmaker; Michael Gamilla Director of ImageOut, Rochester’s LGBT Film and Video Festival; and Kirstine Molgaard from Copenhagen who is the Festival Director of MIX COPENHAGEN LGBT Film Festival.
