THE SCREENING OF PAUL BOWLES 
AT THE PORTUGUESE CINEMATHEQUE 
OF LISBON
 
With special guest star Sara Driver introducing her 1986 film “You are not I”, inspired by a Paul Bowles short-story. An extraordinary première at the Portuguese Cinemateque. 

Other film directors will also present short selections from Paul Bowles documentaries, namely “The making of a Legend”, by the Tangier based artist Karim Debbagh, and

“Traces of Sand and Water: The Lifes of Jane and Paul Bowles”, by the Spanish director Javier Martin-Dominguez. At the end there will be a brief debate with all directors and librarians, moderated by Anabela Duarte with the audience participation.
